Max grew up in the bay area of northern California and enjoyed playing all types of sports as a kid. He played AAU basketball in elementary and middle school as well as baseball and soccer. In high school Max played water polo for Menlo School which won the CCS(central coast section) championship when he was a sophomore. Max also played basketball for Menlo High as well as baseball. Max moved to Southern California after high school and attended Marymount college in Rancho Palos Verdes. After College, Max worked in the music business for WMG (Warner Music Group) and then in Alcohol Distribution for United Distributors in Smyrna Georgia. During these years Max unfortunately let his athletic background fade away and became very out of shape. Then over 3 years ago Max found the sport of Crossfit by joining Paradiso Crossfit’s Marina Del Rey Location. Its safe to say the rest is history. Max fell in love with the sport of Crossfit, specifically the Olympic Weightlifting aspect. This led Max into getting USAW certified and becoming a coach at Venice Barbell Club. Max is passionate about helping athletes of all levels reach their fitness goals and understands what it is like to start from the bottom and work your way up. Max attributes the Paradiso Crossfit and Venice Barbell Club community’s for showing him that its possible to achieve your goals with hard work, dedication, and the support of an amazing community.
